2017 ???

i'm 20 days late, but Happy New Year!!!!!!!
Wow this blog is in need of some serious tlc. I really wish I could have more time to post but everything has been so busy busy busy. You know when you say you've been busy but you can't think of one thing you've done?? that's me. But anyway, how is everyone doing?! i hope this month has been good to you so far. *spreads calm vibes*

Black Venus on Blue Background, Pierre Boncampain s.d
^^This piece makes me feel kinda vibes and i want to glide through this year like Black Venus. speaking of vibes, here's a January playlist:
1. Table for Two - Kali Uchis
2. Dream - Kali Uchis

I've rediscovered the wonders of Drunken Babble - it is such an amazing mixtape  and she made it when she was 19???

Life is kinda weird and vibrant at the moment, with future prospects just in sight. yet still kinda clouded by the density of school work, exams etc etc. It's crazy how how any of us can die at any moment yet we live our lives always planning for the future! banal stuff really

nostalgic views

Last week my sister Zoe and I did a shoot with the amazing Taja as part of her photography project "Sister Sister". check it out on her tumblrThe photos and the dialogue are so beaut. They were taken with a 35mm so the photos have a really rough, kind of nostalgic tint to them. They remind me of when i used to go to the park and after staying on the swings for so long my hands would smell of metal chains, n cold n grass. good times.  She also included a little q&a with us about self-acceptance, self-love and where we see ourselves within all that.

Taja is such a cool gal as well as talented photographer/designer. to see her gorg face lowkey follow her on instagram @tajalewisb:

"Self-love and acceptance has become somewhat of a trend, a positive thing, and everyone promotes it as something easy and accessible and simple. To me it’s far from that".
